Disable The Windows XP Messenger Screen

Windows Live MessengerFor some reasons, maybe you feel tired of getting Windows XP Messenger screen spam.

You may just want to delete this feature/service because you never use it and prefer to use third party apps like Yahoo! Messenger or GTalk.

In this short tips, I will share you how to disable the Windows XP messenger screen. Just follow this few steps:

  1. Right-click My Computer and select Manage.
  2. Scroll down to Services and Applications and cascade the menu out.
  3. Click Service and look for Messenger in the right column.
  4. Right-click this option to access its Properties.
  5. Click Stop to get Stopped Service Status and change the Startup Type to Disable.
  6. Click OK.

Now you've already disable the Windows XP messenger screen ;)
